Volunteer
at The Grand Cinema
Our 15-20 paid staff rely on volunteers to help The Grand Cinema show great films 365 days a year! Consider supporting your local, non-profit theater by giving your time working at the concessions counter to help create a fun movie-going experience in Tacoma. Most everyone you see working at the concessions counter and ushering are volunteers - popping your popcorn, pouring your sodas, and cleaning theaters!

Must have or be able to acquire a Food Handler's Permit prior to volunteer work
Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others with a friendly attitude

Perks:
One movie pass per shift worked

Exclusive, free volunteer screenings
Free popcorn while working!
An invite to our annual volunteer dinner
Be a film discussion leader!
Free and open to the public, our Post-Film Discussions are generally scheduled every weekend and focus on new film openings. Many of the films that come to The Grand Cinema are of a wide variety of topics and interest, and we love to pair discussion leaders with just the right movie.
If you love movies and are interested in facilitating a discussion or two, please email Paul Richter at paul@grandcinema.com with a brief background about your experience with film and why you'd be a great discussion leader!
